Inp.polri.go.id - South Tangerang. The South Tangerang Metropolitan Sub-regional Police have uncovered a smuggling operation involving 34,000 pills of the restricted drug Trihexyphenidyl, disguised inside animal vitamin packaging.
On Thursday (5/2/2026), it announced the arrest of 24-year-old Nugroho Wisnumurti at a shop-house in Serpong. The suspects allegedly hid the pills within 32 bottles labeled as "B-Complex + Mineral" livestock supplements to evade detection while distributing the substances across Jakarta and Bandung.
"The suspects placed 1,000 pills into each bottle, using animal vitamin packaging labeled B-Complex + minerals," said South Tangerang Police Chief Superintendent Boy Jumalolo during a press briefing, as quoted by antaranews.com
Police seized the narcotics, a mobile phone and a motorcycle used for distribution. Trihexyphenidyl, typically prescribed for tremors and muscle disorders, was being sold illegally to users seeking heightened confidence.
The suspects now face up to 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp5 billion under the 2023 Health Law for the unauthorized sale of Group G medications.
