inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sudaryono, stated that the head of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) who caused the fatal incident and endangered the beneficiaries of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) would be dismissed.

Sudaryono, also known as Mas Dar, emphasized that sanctions for those found negligent would not only be dismissal from office. The SPPG head, who holds civil servant (ASN) status, would be dishonorably discharged through the State Civil Service Agency (BKN).

"The first sanction is that the kitchen will be severely suspended. Then, for the SPPG head, the sanction I can impose is not only dismissal, but I will also propose dishonorable discharge through the BKN, as this involves (lives)," said Mas Dar in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday (8/21/2026).

The BGN head also opened the possibility of handing over the investigation to law enforcement officials to investigate the alleged negligence in the incident.

According to him, MBG food safety is not just a matter of kitchen operations, but also concerns human safety and lives. Therefore, all kitchen heads, staff, and those in charge are asked to ensure all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.

Mas Dar also asked any staff who feel incapable of carrying out their duties to resign rather than endanger MBG beneficiaries.

"This is also a warning to others: be extra careful and do your best. If you can't do it, resign. If you feel you can't, resign. Don't gamble with people's lives. If you can't be a kitchen head, chef, or any other staff member, resign because someone's life can't be risked," he said.
