inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) emphasized that every student is required to possess self-resilience, integrity, and a commitment to refrain from involvement in drug abuse or illicit trafficking.
BNN Head, Suyudi Ario Seto, stated that universities are often targeted by drug trafficking networks because they are populated by young people with great potential as the nation's future leaders.
"Students are a valuable national asset. The future of a golden Indonesia lies in the hands of a healthy, intelligent, and drug-free young generation," said Suyudi in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday (8/18/2026).
He thus emphasized the BNN's commitment to continuously strengthening collaboration with higher education institutions through the "Kampus Bersinar" (Narcotics-Free Campus) program.
This synergy is expected to create a safe, healthy academic environment free from drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
One of the synergies established by BNN with the University of Indonesia (UI) was a public lecture by the BNN RI on the Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN) for approximately 5,000 new students.
This activity was part of the UI New Student Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) 2026 series, which took place at the UI Hall in Depok, West Java, on Tuesday (8/4/2026).
The public lecture is BNN's effort to raise awareness and strengthen the resilience of the younger generation against the threat of drug abuse from the moment they enter university.
Through this lecture, the new students are expected to understand the various modes of drug trafficking and develop the courage to reject all forms of drug abuse.
