inp.polri.go.id –  The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Sumatra appreciates the Head of the West Sumatra Police in driving the economic recovery and national tourism. This was spearheaded by the successful collaboration with the most MSMEs in the 2022 Sumatra Bike Week (SBW). This appreciation was conveyed by the Governor of West Sumatra, Mahyeldi when giving a speech at the award ceremony. The Governor of West Sumatra hopes that with this, there will be solutions to the various problems related to public facilities and services. Therefore, support from various parties, including the West Sumatra Regional Police, is needed. In the same occassion, the Head of the West Sumatra Police, Inspector General of Police, Teddy Minahasa, said that his party was ready to support the 2023 Visit Beautiful West Sumatra (VBWS) program as an effort to stimulate the economy through the tourism sector. "We, the TNI/Polri and the entire Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, are ready to make that program a success, especially since these activities can have a positive impact on the national economic recovery," said the Two-Star General. Inspector General Teddy Minahasa said, that when the SBW was held, the money circulating in Bukittinggi reached Rp38 billion. "This activity has a positive impact on the recovery of the national economy, that is one of our main goals after we our economy dropped because of Covid-19," he said.
