The meeting was chaired directly by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) of the Republic of Indonesia Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
Also present at the meeting were the Banten Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Rudy Heriyanto, Banten Regional Police Deputy Chief, and Banten Police High-Rank Officers.
During the meeting, Inspector General of Police Rudy Heriyanto said that the government no longer used the term Emergency Community Activity Restrictions but chose the term Community Activity Restrictions Level 4.
"Yes, this is in accordance with Inmendagri Number 22 of 2021 concerning PPKM Level 4 in the Java-Bali region, and it is stated in his instructions that Community Activity Restriction is extended until July 25, 2021," said the Banten Regional Police Chief.
The decision to extend Community Activity Restrictions Level 4 until July 25, 2021, was taken after evaluating the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions which is valid from July 3, 2021, until it ends until July 20, 2021.
Then, in the meeting, regional heads should continue to intensify the implementation of Testing, Tracing, and Treatment as well as limit activities and mobility in the Java-Bali region.
It was also discussed earlier that increasing the number of testing must continue to follow the right strategy, including prioritizing case finding in suspected and close contacts of confirmed cases, all close contacts (symptomatic/not) being tested and quarantined, and doing screening, explained the Regional Police Chief.
The government opens opportunities by gradually easing community activities starting on July 26, 2021, if developments in the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic continue to decline and improve.
So later we will make preparations with the regional government to carry out relaxation if the Covid-19 transmission rate decreases, added the Banten Regional Police Chief.
The stipulation is that traditional markets that sell basic needs are allowed to open until 20.00 with a capacity of 50% of visitors, while traditional markets other than selling basic necessities are allowed to open only until 15.00 with a maximum capacity of 50% of visitors and with strict implementation of Health Protocols.
"Street vendors, grocery stores, voucher agents/outlets, barbershops, laundry, small workshops, vehicle washes, and other small businesses are allowed to open with strict procedures until 21.00," said the Regional Police Chief.
Meanwhile, food stalls, hawker stalls, and the like that have their place of business in an open space are allowed to open with strict procedures until 21.00 and a maximum meal time for each visitor is 30 minutes.
Finally, the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner. Edy Sumardi hopes that this pandemic period will pass quickly, until now the Government, National Armed Forces and National Police continue to make efforts to reduce the transmission rate of the Covid-19 virus.
With the extension of the Community Activity Restrictions, we can make the community more disciplined towards the Health Protocol, support the government's policy on Community Activity Restriction Level 4 because we are all doing this to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus, hoped the Head of Public Relations.
