inp.polri.go.id – The revelation of the mastermind behind the premeditated murder of Brigadier J, and the quick steps taken by the National Police to resolve this case, have received positive reviews from the public.
The survey results from the Indonesian Voice Laboratory (LSI) indicate that the majority of the public are very satisfied with the performance of the Police in handling the murder case of Brigadier Novriansyah Yosua Hutabarat (J).
A total of 27.8% of respondents said they were very satisfied, while 50.4% of respondents said they were satisfied.
"Only 12.2% of respondents said they were very dissatisfied and as many as 7.1% were dissatisfied, while the other 2.5% is abstain," said LSI Executive Director Albertus Dino S. Phil.
The survey results also showed that 89.4% of respondents considered the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to be very firm in handling this murder case.
The National Police Chief did not hesitate to take firm action against the police officers who tried to hinder the disclosure of the premeditated murder case against Brigadier J.
"Then there are 4.3% of them considered the National Police Chief to be less firm and hesitant in taking action in the case of Brigadier J, while 6.3% is abstain," he said.
Regarding the solidity of the Police in handling the case of Brigadier J with the suspect Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo, the LSI survey stated that 70.7% of the internal police were solid and compact in revealing the case.
In addition, as many as 79.2% of respondents stated that the National Police and the National Police Chief were very fair in disclosing the case of Brigadier J. While 17.2% stated that the Police had not been fair in revealing the case of Brigadier J, and 3.6% is abstain.
"A total of 80.9% of respondents considered that in the case of Brigadier J the Police had been responsive and proactive in responding to public concerns and protests. A total of 16.7% of respondents stated that the Police were less responsive and proactive in the case of Brigadier J, and 2.4% is abstain," he explained.
The research was conducted using a public opinion poll survey method involving 1930 respondents in 34 provinces in Indonesia.
The results of this survey have a 95% confidence level and a Margin of Error of -/+ 2.24 percent which has bee conducted from August 13-21, 2022.
