inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. Police arrested a man with the initials TF (24) suspected of involvement in the embezzlement of a Honda Scoopy motorcycle belonging to a member of the Indonesian National Military (TNI) in Banda Aceh.
TF was apprehended by the police while he was in the Ateuk Pahlawan Village area, Baiturrahman District, Banda Aceh, on Thursday at around 9:00 PM.
The case came to light after the motorcycle's owner, Alexon Martianus Pakpahan (40), reported his vehicle to the police.
Banda Aceh Sub-regional Criminal Investigation Chief, Police Assistant Superintendent Miftahuda Dizha Fezuono, explained that the case began when TF rented the victim's Honda Scoopy motorcycle for one day.
"The case began when TF rented the victim's motorcycle for one day. After the rental period ended, TF contacted the rental company's management and requested a one-day extension," explained Miftahuda on Friday (9/25/2026).
However, after the extension period expired, the motorcycle was never returned. On September 16, 2026, the victim contacted TF via WhatsApp to request its return.
This request was reportedly not fulfilled, leading the victim to report the incident to the police.
"Following up on the report, we conducted an investigation to determine the whereabouts of TF and the victim's vehicle. Officers then received information that TF was in the Ateuk Pahlawan Village area, Baiturrahman District," said Miftahuda.
Police then proceeded to the location and apprehended TF, who was walking. During initial questioning, TF admitted his involvement in the alleged embezzlement along with a man identified as RI, also known as Cek.
"Police are currently searching for RI, also known as Cek, whose whereabouts are unknown," he said.
Meanwhile, the victim's motorcycle was previously found and secured by police in Lamgapang Village, Krueng Barona Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency.
The vehicle was then taken by the police along with TF for further investigation.
Police are still investigating the case, including investigating the possible involvement of other parties and searching for RI, also known as Cek. Investigators are also continuing to gather information and question several related parties.
