inp.polri.go.id - Banten. Tangerang City Sub-regional Police has successfully arrested the man with the initials of MFR (24), a thief who also tempted to rape one of dorm resident in Neglasari, Tangerang, Banten.

Tangerang City Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Zain Dwi Nugroho, says the victim is LF.

“The man admitted to his crime and said that he had entered the dorm and saw LF with revealing clothes. Then, both were caught in an argument,” says Superintendent Zain Dwi Nugroho on Thursday (9/12/2024).

Zain further says that during the heated argument, MFR pushed LF to the bed and attempted to rape LF.

Fortunately LF managed to escape after struggling against stimulated MFR. However, she left her belongings and MFR stole her phone.

“Realizing her items were stolen, LF returned to her dorm and fought MFR back. She got hit by MFR in the face and MFR immediately ran away with the bag where there are two phones of iPhone and Vivo, and also a laptop,” explains Zain.

For the crimes committed, MFR will be charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code on theft with violence. The threat of punishment is a maximum prison sentence of nine years.
