inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) International Relations Division has collaborated with the Singapore Police Force (SPF) to investigate a transnational baby trafficking network in West Java. This collaboration follows the disclosure of a case involving a baby smuggling network from Bandung, Pontianak, Jakarta, and Singapore.
"We are tracing the network of this baby trafficking to overseas countries," explained the Secretary of the Indonesian Interpol NCB, Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, Friday (9/19/2025).
According to him, the Singapore police are willing to assist in questioning relevant witnesses. Moreover, the list of questions compiled by West Java Regional Police investigators was channeled through the Jakarta NCB before being forwarded to the Singapore NCB this weekend.
"In addition, the SPF is also ready to assist in the search for three Singaporean citizens suspected of involvement," he said.
INP International Relations advised investigators to trace the National Identification Number (NIK) data of the porter who allegedly delivered the baby to Singapore to determine his identity and departure route.
