The Head of Public Relations for the Bali Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, revealed that the perpetrator, CH, who has been named a suspect, was known to have rented a Toyota Avanza and two motorcycles for six foreign nationals currently on the Bali Regional Police's wanted list.

Arisandy explained that the identity of the perpetrator, CH, was revealed through the vehicle rental and also through surveillance camera footage that captured the movement of an Avanza and two motorcycles in Tabanan Regency and the victim's accommodation in Badung Regency.

"From the investigation, the vehicle was rented from the rental by a foreign national with the initials CH using a fake passport, and CH is suspected to be a foreign national from Nigeria," he said.

Police successfully arrested CH in an area of ​​West Nusa Tenggara on February 23, 2026, eight days after the kidnapping of Ihor Komarav.

However, during questioning, CH admitted that someone had ordered him to rent the vehicle for IDR 6 million.

CH told investigators that he was unaware that the vehicle was being rented to commit kidnapping.

Ariasandy revealed that the Bali Regional Police have identified the perpetrators of the kidnapping of Ihor Komarav.

The six perpetrators are suspected to be foreign nationals with the initials RM, VK, AS, VN, SM, and DH. All are male, and the Bali Regional Police are currently searching for them.
