The Chief of INP asked Head of Regional Police Socialize Micro-Scale PPKM

Jakarta - The Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, issued a telegram letter to support the plan to implement public activity restriction (PPKM) at the microscale up to the neighborhood units (RT) / community units RW level. In the telegram letter, the Chief of INP asked the Head of Regional Police to participate in socializing the micro-scale PPKM plan. The telegram letter with number ST / 203 / II / Ops.2. / 2021 was signed on behalf of the Chief of INP by the Head of the INP Security Maintenance Agency as Head of the Central Operations for Safe Nusa II Handling COVID-19, Commissioner General Agus Andrianto, and addressed to all Kapolda throughout the island of Java-Bali. "The telegram letter was issued to prepare INP support for the policy plan," said Commissioner-General Agus Andrianto, Thursday (4/2/2021).

Commissioner General Agus explained that the micro-scale PPKM would be implemented at the village / sub-district level even up to the RT / RW level in 7 provinces, 98 districts/cities, 19,687 villages/wards. However, the implementation time is still waiting to evaluate the implementation of PPKM Phase II, which will end on February 8, 2021. The telegram letter instructs regional ranks to coordinate, communicate, collaborate, and cooperate with Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompimda), provincial / city BPBDs, and involves epidemiologists in mapping areas that meet the criteria for being prone to COVID-19 as areas for implementing micro-scale PPKM. "Including compiling personnel strength and infrastructure to support plans for implementing PPKM on a micro-scale starting from the sub-district, village / sub-district, and RT / RW levels in their respective areas," said Commissioner-General Agus. Besides, the Chiefs of Regional Police were asked to disseminate information related to implementing micro-scale PPKM and raise awareness for the community to proactively provide information on active cases of COVID-19 in their respective areas support 3T (testing, tracing, and treatment). Commissioner General Agus also explained that the telegram letter was issued as a follow-up to the limited coordination meeting the day before, which was chaired by the Coordinating Minister for the Economic and the Chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC-PEN).
