inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Police will investigate the findings by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) regarding herbal and coffee products containing paracetamol and sildenafil medicinal chemicals.
Director of Narcotics Crime (Dirtipidnarkoba) of the National Police (Polri), Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar said that his party had not received any information from BPOM regarding this issue. According to him, BPOM might have reported it to the PPNS Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of Polri instead.
"We will follow up on BPOM's findings in the field. We will conduct an investigation," explained The One-Star General, Thursday (10/03/22).
Separately, the Head of the Public Relations Division (Kadiv Humas) of Polri, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said that Dirtipidnarkoba could take action regarding this matter.
However, the Two-Star General said that this can only be happening if BPOM asks Polri to cooperate in cracking down on the perpetrators of selling this dangerous coffee and herbal medicines.
"When we get an invitation from BPOM to cooperate in enforcement, of course, we will follow it up," said Kadiv Humas Polri.
Previously, BPOM has confiscated various herbal and coffee products containing paracetamol and sildenafil medicinal chemicals through cyber patrols on several e-commerce platforms.
