inp.polri.go.id – Seven former Head of the Indonesian National Police came to the National Police HQ to meet the current National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, on Thursday (10/27). Their meeting was held in Rupatama Building, National Police HQ. Their visit was to give inputs and encourage the police in facing their problems. The former police chiefs also met all the main officials of the National Police. The seven former police chiefs are General Dai Bachtiar, General Bambang Hendarso Danuri, General Roesmanhadi, General Chaerudin Ismail, General Soetanto, General Timur Pradopo, and General Badrodin Haiti. General Dai Bachtiar said that their visit was to give an encouragament and input for the police regarding the issues that they currently faced. “We, the former Generals of the Police, have been called by this concerning situation that the police are facing now. But in all honesty, this visit from the retired police officers is not an extraordinary event, we have been doing this for a long time,” continued Dai Bachtiar. Bachtiar said that they also gave an encouragement to the high ranking officials of the police to always act rationally. “Of course we also give them a push and remind them to act rationally in facing the current situations,” he said. Bachtiar also claimed that his entourage have given several inputs regarding what steps must be taken by the police to regain the public trus. “So what have been hoped by the community for the police can be realized,” he said in his conclusion.
