inp.polri.go.id – South Sulawesi Police Chief, Inspector General of the Police, Drs. Nana Sujana, M.M., appreciates the steps taken by the Indonesian Cyber Media Association (AMSI) in South Sulawesi, which continues to educate the public in fighting false information or hoaxes.
He said, hoaxes are one of the big problems in the digital era, and asked the South Sulawesi Regional Police to pay attention to this serious issue.
"This hoax is indeed a current issue that we have to face. I welcome and appreciate AMSI's steps in educating the public regarding this issue. The South Sulawesi Regional Police are ready to cooperate," said the Two-Star General when welcoming the AMSI South Sulawesi management group in his office, Monday (18/7/22).
Furthermore, he said that hoaxes will become a huge problem in the coming future, especially ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election.
"This will become the attention of the police," added the South Sulawesi Police Chief.
The chairman of AMSI South Sulawesi, Herwin Bahar, thanked the South Sulawesi Police Chief for his appreciation.
"The Police Chief warmly welcomes our program and willingly cooperates in our various programs, one of which is to prevent hoaxes," said the Chairman of AMSI South Sulawesi.
