inp.polri.go.id –  The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya revealed that currently his party has named 30 people as suspects in the land mafia case. In the disclosure of the case, there are five methods used by the perpetrators in carrying out their crimes. "We have handled 10 police reports related to this case starting from 2020 to 2022. There are five methods used by them and four of them are new ones," explained the Director of General Criminal Investigation Unit of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Hengki Haryadi at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday (18/7/22). Commissioner Hengki Haryadi explained that the suspect's role was the financier who financed the unlawful act. In addition, there are suspects who are tasked with finding vacant land. “For example, unscrupulous financial services employees from the beginning have financed this unlawful act, and pledged this certificate as collateral to the bank. And this bank is not aware of it,” explained the Director of General Criminal Investigation Unit of Metro Jaya Police. He also explained the suspects who’s role is to look for vacant land. The perpetrators are targeting vacant land that is not guarded and has no signposts installed. "So suddenly this group will profile the vacant land that was not guarded or not installed with signs or banner. They look for their origin and appeal for it, and then they will make new fake certificates upon those land," he explained.
