inp.polri.go.id - The Narcotics Directorate of the South Sulawesi Regional Police destroyed evidence of drugs that were revealed in the last seven months, at the South Sulawesi Police Headquarters Field, Wednesday (10/8/22). South Sulawesi Police Chief, Inspector General Nana Sujana, M.M., said that the termination of evidence is a commitment by the South Sulawesi police to prevent the public and the police from drug abuse. "This show our committment in strengthening the Prevention, Eradication, and Abuse of Drugs (P4GN) as a form of responsibility to eradicate drugs," said the Two-Star General. He also explained that his party had handled 1,997 drug cases in 2021, while in 2022, 1,252 cases were revealed from January to July. "According to the data, it means that our region is still prone to drug traffickin. This of course becomes our homework to continue to prevent the smuggling and take more firm action against it," said the South Sulawesi Police Chief. As for the termination of drugs in South Sulawesi Police HQ, they havedestroyed 514 pills of ecstasy, 24 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 2 kg of marijuana, and 21,627 of G drugs.
