The  Indonesian National Police (INP) judo athlete, Senior Private I Kadek Pasek Karisna from West Java, secured a gold medal in the men’s 90 kg category at PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra, defeating Bali’s I Made Sastra Dharma in the final on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Syiah Kuala University Gymnasium in Banda Aceh.

Senior Brigadier Kadek, who also won the Southeast Asia Championship in 2023, attributed his success to special training in Korea and dedicated his gold to his late coach, who had dreamed of this moment.

In Muay Thai, two police athletes also triumphed, with First Private Muhammad Firdaus Ali Qodri winning silver in the Muayboran men’s category, and Second Brigadier Gino Rinaldi Fauzi taking bronze in the 57 kg men’s category.

The INP Chief Assistant t for Human Resources, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, praised the athletes’ achievements and emphasized continued support through the newly established INP Sports Committee.
