Inp.polri.go.id - Ibu Kota Nusantara.  The Indonesian National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has said that the INP are prepared to investigate allegations of financial misappropriation related to the organization of the 2024 National Sports Week (PON) XXI in Aceh-North Sumatra 2024.

"If evidence of fund misappropriation emerges, we will deploy investigators to carry out a thorough investigation,"  he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The INP, the Attorney General's Office and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), will work together to handle the case. The INP will also collaborate with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in this effort.

A police task force will visit the PON 2024 locations on Friday to further examine the allegations, following coordination with Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo.
