Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   The Indonesian Military’s (TNI) Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, carried out an air-drop mission to deliver humanitarian aid to residents of Gaza, Palestine, coinciding with Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day on Sunday .

Colonel Puguh Yulianto, the Commander of the Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, confirmed that the mission proceeded smoothly, delivering a total of 800 tons of aid. “

This success is not only a source of national pride but also tangible proof of Indonesia’s contribution to global peace,” he said on Monday (18/8/22025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Brigadier General Frega Wenas Inkiriwang, the Ministry of Defense Head of the Defense Information Bureau, called the operation a historic achievement and a symbolic gift on Indonesia’s independence anniversary.

The mission, he noted, was made possible through cooperation between the TNI, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Indonesia’s National Alms Agency (Baznas).

Two C-130J Super Hercules aircraft transported food, medicine, and clothing, departing from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan at 10:37 a.m. local time. The supplies were dropped across 10 designated safe zones in Gaza before the aircraft returned safely at 12.25 pm.
