Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps has integrated cutting-edge technological infrastructure to secure the 13-day Operation Ketupat 2026, ensuring smooth traffic flow during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday.
“We are utilizing Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), precision patrol drones, and body-worn cameras to monitor toll roads, arterial routes, and ports in real-time,” said Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, the Traffic Corps Chief, at the Kilometer 29 Command Center in Cikarang on Thursday (12/3/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
The operation, running from 13 to 25 March 2016 involves 161,243 joint personnel and leverages real-time traffic counting radars to execute maneuvers like contraflow once vehicle volume exceeds 5,500 units per hour.
Beyond surveillance, officers equipped with body cameras will conduct persuasive patrols, encouraging motorists on highway shoulders to move safely while providing snacks and water. This tech-driven approach covers over 185,000 vital locations, including mosques and transportation hubs, supported by 2,746 security and service posts nationwide.
