Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP) , Inspector General Polisi Agus Suryonugroho, urged the public to build an orderly driving culture during a press briefing on Monday (8/6/20260.
The Traffic Corps aims to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities through modern, transparent enforcement.
"The plan is to have 30% conventional ticketing and 60% electronic enforcement," said Chief Agus. "We do not take pride in enforcement, but rather in how we engage the public through our traffic program. Let us be orderly for the sake of safety."
To achieve this, the Traffic Corps is shifting toward technology by prioritizing the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system over conventional ticketing methods to foster community cooperation rather than focusing strictly on punitive actions.
Chief Agusl emphasized that public feedback remains vital to improving road safety and security nationwide.
