inp.polri.go.id - Manado. The North Sulawesi Regional Police deployed a Trauma Healing Team from the Human Resources Bureau to help restore the psychological well-being of passengers affected by the KM Barcelona V A fire on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at noon.

The disaster reportedly left several surviving passengers in deep shock.

The team visited several victims of the KM Barcelona V A fire who were being treated at Bhayangkara Hospital in Manado, including their families.

"Regarding this disaster, the North Sulawesi Regional Police have deployed a Trauma Healing Team from the Psychology Section of the Human Resources Bureau. The team is here to restore the psychological well-being of passengers affected by the ship fire," said the Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Alamsyah P. Hasibuan, as reported by RRI on Monday (7/21/2025).

The team provided motivation and encouragement to ensure the passengers' trauma quickly passed.

In this disaster, hundreds of passengers were affected by the fire on the KM Barcelona V A, and three of them died.

"We express our condolences to the victims who died and pray for the families left behind, granting them strength and patience," he explained.

In addition to Bhayangkara Hospital, the North Sulawesi Regional Police Trauma Healing Team will also visit several victims being treated at several hospitals in Manado City.
