inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri emphasized the need for education on local food diversity and healthier food choices. The emphasis was conveyed at the opening of the 25th Salon International de L'alimentation (SIAL) Interfood, in Jakarta.
The Deputy Minister of Trade said stakeholders are expected to learn from each other and find ways to support local and environmentally friendly food initiatives. She explained that currently there are various pressing issues for the food industry, such as food safety, sustainability and healthy eating patterns.
These issues must be addressed immediately, especially as public awareness of the importance of choosing delicious and environmentally friendly food increases.
Not only that, Dyah also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and the private sector to support the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) while encouraging product exports, including food and beverage products.
She believes that collaboration can boost competitiveness, facilitate the internationalization of MSMEs, and increase production capacity and product quality.
Dyah is committed to continuing to implement the MSMEs initiative to penetrate the international market. This is to facilitate the expansion of the export market which consists of three main programs.
This initiative emphasizes the protection of the domestic market which includes market utilization, trade dispute resolution and sustainable trade supervision.
"Then, the expansion of the export market by increasing international trade diplomacy. Finally, efforts to encourage increased adaptability and innovation of MSMEs known as MSMEs Dare to Innovate Ready to Adapt (BISA) Exports," explained the Deputy Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri
