inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister for Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) Christina Aryani reminded Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) to work abroad in a procedural manner.
“We are expecting that when you are going to work abroad in the future to take a proper procedural step according to the applicable law,” said Christina on Tuesday (12/3/2024).
The statement was conveyed by Christina to 13 PMI deportees from Malaysia after working abroad through non-procedural departure.
She explained, although the state is responsible for repatriating them to their hometowns, she hopes that the PMI will not return to Malaysia non-procedurally.
"And to the deportees who will soon be repatriated to their hometowns to help disseminate the appeal to their respective families, that going to work non-procedurally has a very big risk," explained Christina.
