West Sumatra Police Destroyed the Evidence of 24 Kg of Dried Marijuana

inp.polri.go.id - A total of 24,716.24 grams of dried marijuana were destroyed by the West Sumatra Police, Thursday (10/13). The destroyed marijuana is the result of confiscation in the disclosure of drug cases by the West Sumatra Police Narcotics Directorate. The destruction of the evidence was led by the Director of Narcotics Directorate of West Sumatra Police, Commissioner Roedy Yoelianto, accompanied by the Head of Public Relations of West Sumatra Police, Commissioner Dwi Sulistyawan, and the Padang District Attorney. Commissioner Dwi stated that the destruction of the evidence is based on the Letter of Determination on the Status of the Narcotics Confiscated Goods from the Padang District Attorney. "24,716,24 grams of dried marijuana were destroyed, while the remaining 83.76 grams were saved as evidence for trial purposes," he explained at the West Sumatra Police Headquarters. He added that the drugs were confiscated from a suspect initialed P. Regarding the success of the Police in eradicating drugs at West Sumatra, Commissioner Dwi Sulistyawan appealed to the public, especially in West Sumatra, to join the war together in fighting against drugs.
