inp.polri.go.id -  North Sulawesi Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate has named four suspects in the alleged corruption case of road reconstruction. The road that was about to be reconstructed is the roads in Insil Baru Insil Induk by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency of the Bolaang Mongondow Regency (Bolmong) since 2020. The Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Regional Police, Commissioner Jules Abraham Abast explaine that the handling of the alleged corruption case was based on a police report dated August 31, 2022. This was followed up with an Investigation Order on the same date. "Investigators from the North Sulawesi Regional Police Corruption Crime Unit of Special Criminal Investigation Directorate then carried out the investigation process, and then named four suspects on October 4, 2022. The suspects each had the initials MT, CW, AK, and DS," explained Commissioner Jules Abraham Abast, Thursday (13/10/22) It was informed that in 2020. the Insil Baru Insil Induk road reconstruction project was carried out by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of the Bolmong Regency Government, where the funds was sourced from DID funds with a contract value of Rp6,891,783,000 by PT GAS as the provider. The work then was carried out not in accordance to the contract. “They did the reconstruction not according to the contract, or not according to the volume and quality. Those actions resulted in state financial losses of approximately Rp2,967,834,324,” said the Head of Public Relations of North Sulawesi. The suspects are charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code. With the threat of life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of four years and a maximum of 20 years.
