Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, Whoosh, maintained safe operations Friday after advanced sensors triggered a brief halt near Kopo to clear wind-blown debris from the tracks during severe storms.
"The stop was a proactive safety measure as our sensors identified foreign objects on the line, ensuring the journey remained secure," said Woosh operator PT KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa on Sunday (5/4/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
The incident occurred at 4.45 pm when heavy rain and gale-force winds swept zinc roofing onto the tracks at kilometer 126. Rapid intervention by technical teams allowed the service to resume within four minutes, preventing any significant delays for holiday commuters.
To mitigate seasonal risks, the rail network utilizes a multi-layered defense system, including seismic detectors and real-time wind speed monitoring. Eva confirmed that all infrastructure remains intact and fully operational as high passenger volumes continue following the long weekend.
