Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police detained 14 teenagers participating in a convoy, carrying flags and firecrackers along Angkasa Street in Kemayoran late on Monday.
Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Chief of Central Jakarta Police, said that police confiscated motorcycles, flags, and firecrackers.
"These measures aim to curb clashes and teenage convoys during fasting periods," he explained on Tuesday (2/4/2024), emphasizing that non-compliant vehicles would be ticketed.
Chief Susatyo urged parents to guide their children away from negative influences, envisioning Central Jakarta as a safe, disorder-free area.
Police patrols will continue into the evening and predawn hours to deter clashes and street crimes.
