Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto revealed that several heads of state personally phoned him after being impressed by Indonesia’s position on resolving the Palestinian conflict during the 80th UN General Assembly.
“Yes, a number of world leaders called me, and some even approached me directly. They were impressed by Indonesia’s sincere effort to find common ground and pursue a substantive resolution. That’s our stance,” he told reporters at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base on Saturday (27/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
In his UN address, President Prabowo urged an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and pressed for a long-term peace solution in the Middle East. He reiterated Indonesia’s support for a two-state solution, ensuring both Palestinian independence and Israel’s security.
President Prabowo stressed that Indonesia seeks to be part of concrete peace efforts, voicing hope for a breakthrough soon. He also highlighted Indonesia’s rice self-sufficiency achievements while calling for a stronger UN to guarantee justice and fairness for all nations.
