Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has reaffirmed his commitment to strict disciplinary action against officers involved in misconduct, stressing the importance of accountability within the police force.
“We are committed to firm action against violations as part of our ongoing efforts to improve the institution,” he said on Wednesday (8/1/2025), addressing allegations of extortion involving 18 officers during the 2024 Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP).
The accused officers, from various Jakarta police units, are undergoing disciplinary hearings. So far, three have been dishonorably dismissed—Senior Superintendent Donald Simanjuntak, Superintendent Malvino Edward Yusticia, and Senior Inspector Yudhy Triananta Syaeful—while nine others face demotions lasting 5–8 years.
Chief Sigit highlighted a balanced approach through a reward-and-punishment system to encourage professionalism and integrity.
“These actions reflect our commitment to ongoing reforms aimed at improving the police force,” he said.
