Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Commander of the Indonesian Military (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto, confirmed that the National Food Logistics Agency (Bulog) CEO, Major General Novi Helmy Prasetya, will step down from the military service.
"Yes, he will resign. Active TNI personnel holding positions in ministries or state agencies will take early retirement and leave military service," he said at the House of Representatives (DPR) Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (13/3/2025).
A similar situation applies to Major General Irham Waroihan, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture, who is an active TNI official.
However, Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak said that their resignations would depend on the revision of Law No. 34/2004 on the TNI.
"The regulation needs to be finalized first. If they must step down, then they will," he added, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The proposed revision would expand the number of civilian positions available to active TNI officers in government institutions from 10 to 15.
