Inp.polri.go.id - Rio de Janeiro. President Prabowo Subianto joined global leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Joe Biden, at the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Monday (18/11/2024).
The event was hosted at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), showcasing Brazil’s 2024 G20 presidency theme, “Building a Just World and Sustainable Planet.”
President Prabowo arrived in a white, flag-adorned Mercedes-Maybach, wearing a black suit, red tie, and traditional Indonesian cap. He was greeted by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on the red carpet. The two leaders exchanged pleasantries before posing for an official photograph.
“It’s an honor to represent Indonesia in such a critical dialogue for global progress,” he remarked, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Leaders from Turkey, Canada, and Tanzania were also present, alongside Xi Jinping and Joe Biden. The summit focuses on priorities such as tackling inequality, advancing sustainable development, and reforming global governance.
This G20 meeting is set to discuss challenges like hunger, climate change, and energy transitions affecting both developed and developing nations.
