Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of 1,057 members from the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) are deployed under Amole Task Force to protect the operational areas of PT Freeport Indonesia in Mimika, Central Papua.
Among them, 286 are TNI members, with all personnel set to serve for six months.
During a visit to the Amole Task Force command post at MP 39 Timika on Sunday (12/1/2025), Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Patrige R. Renwarin urged personnel to maintain vigilance and teamwork in their mission.
“This is a noble duty as protectors of the security and unity of Indonesia. Treat your colleagues from the INP and TNI as family, as we are here not as separate individuals,” he emphasized, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Patrige highlighted the importance of mental and physical prepararation given the challenges in the field and stressed avoiding conflicts that could disrupt team harmony.
The visit was accompanied by Senior Superintendent Dede Alamsyah, the Papua Police Director of Vital Object Security.
