inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The West Java Regional Police has deployed approximately 1,500 joint personnel to secure the 2026 President's Cup tournament at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, which opened on Saturday (July 25th).
West Java Regional Police Operations Bureau Chief Senior Superintendent Teddy Suhendyawan Syarif stated in Bandung on Friday (7/24/2026) that the thousands of personnel come from the Indonesian National Police (INP), the Indonesian Military (TNI), and the regional government.
"There are approximately 1,500 personnel from various agencies. We are also supported by the TNI, the regional government, the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob), and several police stations, namely the Cimahi Sub-regional Police and the Bandung Sub-regional City Police," he said.
According to him, security has been refined through tactical wall games (TWG) to ensure all personnel understand their duties, responsibilities, and positions during the match.
"This is mandatory so that the field officials understand how they should act and their respective positions," he said.
He stated that the TWG implementation aims to ensure that all matches run according to schedule and plan, while also providing a sense of security for players, officials, and spectators.
In addition to security at the stadium, the Bandung Sub-regional City Police are responsible for the match venue, while the Cimahi Sub-regional Police are responsible for securing accommodations, training grounds, and the arrival of participants to ensure the smooth running of all events.
The West Java Regional Police are also implementing three levels of screening for spectators, starting at the gates, the entrance, and the first zone around the stadium.
He urged spectators to comply with officers' instructions and not to bring any items that could be dangerous or disrupt the match.
Regarding the President's possible attendance at the President's Cup matches, Teddy stated that his office has not yet confirmed this. However, security measures are being prepared in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) for VVIP security.
