Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Trade announced that 9,637 Indonesian products will enjoy zero tariffs in the European Union (EU) following the implementation of the Indonesia–EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EU CEPA).
The deal covers 98.8 percent of EU tariff lines.
“Almost everything is zero tariff, only a small portion is excluded,” said Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono, the Director General of International Trade Negotiations at the ministry, in Jakarta on Monday (29/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He added that 90.4 percent of products will gain immediate tariff exemptions once the pact takes effect, while others will see gradual cuts over three to fifteen years.
Products gaining duty-free access include palm oil and its derivatives, garments, footwear, coffee, cocoa, rubber, steel, furniture, seafood, and automotive parts. Sensitive items, accounting for 1.2 percent of the tariff lines, will remain under WTO’s Most Favoured Nation (MFN) rates. The ministry noted that tariff schedules may be accelerated during post-implementation reviews.
