inp.polri.go.id -  As a proof of a concern from the police for the people affected by the floods in North Aceh Regency, the Aceh Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Haydar, orders his personnel to distribute 16.4 tons of rice and other humanitarian assistance. Head of the Aceh Police Operations Bureau, Commissioner Agus Sarjito said the aid was distributed to flood-affected communities in Ara Village and Mancang Village, Lhoksukon District, North Aceh Regency. "Other than 16.4 tons of rice, other humanitarian assistance such as 30 boxes of instant noodles, 30 cartons of eggs, 30 kilograms of sugar, 30 kilograms of cooking oil, and 20 boxes of mineral water were sent to the flood affected community," explained the Head of the Aceh Police Operations Bureau in one of his statements, Tuesday (11/10/2022). Commissioner Agus Sarjito said that the aid distribution was part of police’s concern for the flood-affected communities. Other than giving provisions, the police through the Health Medicine Division of Aceh Police also provide free medical services for the flood victims. "For people whose having diarrhea, itching, or other diseases due to flooding, please came to our medical service at the health post that has been prepared," told Commissioner Agus to the community. He hopes that the social assistance and health services can help ease the burden of the flood-affected community. Meanwhile, the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North Aceh Regency stated that the flooding that had hit the area since the past week had begun to recede. Head of Regional Disaster Management Agency of North Aceh Regency, Asnawi said that currently only three sub-districts are still inundated by floods. Previously, floods submerged 19 sub-districts in North Aceh Regency. "The three sub-districts that are still affected by the flood are Lhoksukon District, West Baktya District, and Lapang District. The water level ranges from 30 to 60 centimeters," explained Asnawi.
