Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has called for the revival of youth organizations such as Karang Taruna and the Scouts (Pramuka) to rebuild social awareness following Friday’s explosion at SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta that injured dozens of students.

“We must revive our sense of social responsibility and community life. Karang Taruna must be active again, and so must Pramuka,” said State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi after a limited cabinet meeting led by Prabowo at the President’s residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, Sunday night (11/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

He said the President viewed the school explosion as a wake-up call, urging teachers to pay closer attention to signs of distress among students. The president also warned about the psychological impact of violent online games such as PUBG, which could desensitize youth to violence.

Police have identified a student suspect allegedly driven by bullying as the motive behind the incident.
