Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman as the new Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), replacing Arief Prasetyo Adi.

The appointment was formalized through a Presidential Decree dated 9 October  2025, confirmed by the National Food Agency Secretary General Sarwo Edhy on Friday evening (10/10/2025).

“The decree was received this afternoon. It’s effective as of October 9,” he told antaranews.com.

Sarwo added that the official document was handed over to Minister Amran on Friday afternoon, marking the formal transition of leadership. Earlier in the day, Arief Prasetyo Adi reportedly attended the National Food Agency’s office as usual before receiving the official notice of his replacement later that afternoon.

The leadership change comes as the government intensifies efforts to ensure food stability and strengthen inter-agency coordination under President Prabowo’s administration, with Minister Amran now holding dual roles as Minister of Agriculture and Head of Bapanas.
