Soekarno-Hatta Airport General Manager, Dwi Ananda Wicaksana, said that the exercises and simulations were designed to ensure the readiness of personnel and equipment facing potential threats for the holiday season.

"This integrated exercise is a manifestation of our commitment to ensuring operational security and safety at the airport. Especially ahead of the peak flow of passenger movement during Christmas-New Year Eve," said Dwi.

He further stated that his party is working with the Indonesian Military and Indonesian National Police in dealing with potential threats. This collaboration is also a form of real synergy between the airport and security forces.

It is hoped that this simulation can help identify operational deficiencies and needs, introduce necessary improvement steps, and ensure that all systems and equipment function reliably in emergency situations.

He revealed that in the scenario of the simulation, they simulate that there were victims who died and were evacuated. Then, there were also two unconscious victims as 27 other victims were still being treated by the BBKK medical team.

"This exercise not only tests our readiness in handling emergency threats. But it is also a moment to strengthen cross-agency cooperation," he said.
