Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jayapura. 93 Papuan Police personnel received entrepreneurship briefing to face retirement or post-retirement at the end of 2021.
The plan is to hold the briefing, which will last for two days, at the Aston Jayapura Hotel on Tuesday, 9 November 2021. The debriefing will be officially opened by the Deputy Chief of the Papuan Regional Police, Brigadier General Pol. Eko Rudi Sudarto, attended by BTPN Leader Vonny Pasagi.
The Deputy Chief of the Papua Regional Police explained that retirement or retirement is when a member of the National Police can no longer serve in the Police because his term of office has ended.
When a person undergoes retirement, several changes range from changes in activity, decreased income, and social relations as they get older.
"Changes that occur may cause uncertainty and discomfort so that sometimes retirement is something that is ignored or less calculated to prepare because it tends to be avoided," said the Deputy Chief of the Papua Regional Police in his remarks.
The Deputy Chief of Papua Regional Police advised personnel to avoid symptoms of post power syndrome accompanied by feelings of depression due to feeling a loss of social status, self-confidence, authority and finances, which are usually attached to their identity as members of the National Police.
The Head of the Debriefing Committee, Police Commissioner Martha S. Tolau, S.H., in his report, said that this training is a form of the attention of the Polri institution to participants in providing relevant knowledge and skills before ending their service at the Polri institution.
A total of 93 Papuan Regional Police personnel who participated in the briefing consisted of civil servants and members of the Police at the Papua Regional Police Unit, Jayapura City Police, Jayapura Police to Keerom Resort Police.
"The participants will visit the location of an entrepreneur where a local chicken egg business is located in Koya Timur, Muara Tami District," he explained.
