To ensure the availability and price stability of basic necessities, the Food Task Force Team from the Directorate of Special Crimes of the South Kalimantan Regional Police conducted surprise inspections of several distributors and stores. The inspections of basic necessities and essential goods focused on Minyakita brand packaged cooking oil.

This activity, in accordance with the instructions of the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan, was led directly by Police Senior Inspector Krismandra N.W.

During the inspection, the team measured the volume of the contents, verified Minyakita stock availability, checked retail prices, and ensured there were no hoarding or price gouging practices that could harm the public.

"Based on the inspection results at this location, the Minyakita brand cooking oil produced by PT. Samari Borneo Indah (West Kotawaringin) in Central Kalimantan Province is in good condition, has sufficient stock, and is being sold at prices in accordance with government regulations. We found no indication of violations," Krismandra confirmed when contacted at the location.

He also emphasized his party’s commitment in protecting the public's purchasing power from irresponsible practices that could trigger price fluctuations.

"We will conduct inspections like this routinely and continuously at various locations. We will take firm action according to the law if we find any violations, whether related to hoarding or price gouging," he added.

The presence of the Food Task Force has received appreciation from the public. With operations like this, it is hoped that the distribution of Minyakita cooking oil can continue to run smoothly, ensuring a secure supply and affordable prices for all.
