inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The Bandung Sub-regional City Police have deployed 2,000 personnel to secure the AFC Champions League II Group G match between hosts Persib and Selangor FC at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) on Thursday (10/23/2025) at 7:00 PM.
Bandung Sub-regional City Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Budi Sartono, stated that his team has coordinated with relevant agencies regarding the match's mechanics to ensure smooth security.
"We received reports that approximately 18,000 tickets have been sold as of today. In response to this, we are bolstering our security, deploying approximately 2,000 personnel to secure the GBLA arena," said the Police Chief on Thursday (10/23/2025).
He revealed that security will be tightened both inside and outside the stadium, considering the international level of the match, which pits teams from Malaysia and Indonesia against each other.
"Tonight's match between Persib and Selangor is attracting significant attention from us as it involves a foreign club," continued Budi.
On the other hand, Bandung Sub-regional City Police Traffic Chief, Superintendent Wahyu Pristha, added that three checkpoints will be implemented to screen spectators entering the stadium: Babakan Sayang, Rancanumpang, and Cimencerang.
Through the checkpoints, people will be allowed to enter the stadium after undergoing further checks to prevent any untoward incidents during the match.
He urged Bobotoh (fans of Persib Bandung football team) to not bring dangerous items, especially flares. In addition to flares, police will also confiscate other prohibited items such as alcohol and sharp weapons that could disrupt match security.
