inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Nasir Djamil, a member of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR), stated that the Indonesian National Police's (INP) disclosure of 38,934 drug cases from January to October 2025 demonstrates the institution's commitment in protecting Indonesia's future generations.
"The success of the police in disclosing large-scale drug trafficking cases from January to October demonstrates their commitment to saving Indonesia from the dangers of drugs," said Nasir, a member of Commission III, on Thursday (October 23, 2025).
He stated that the 38,000 cases and nearly 200 tons of evidence are significant figures and the reality is that drug trafficking syndicates still exist.
Nasir added that this transnational crime must be a national concern and should be taken more seriously.
"The National Police leadership is also expected to ensure that no member at any level ever again supports illicit drug trafficking. The involvement of these police officers will undermine the morale of the police institution and the public," explained Nasir.
He further stated that the disclosure of cases and the large-scale arrests demonstrate that INP have carried out President Prabowo's Asta Cita with the best of their abilities.
According to the report, from January to October 2025, the National Police successfully confiscated 197.71 tons of various types of illicit goods and arrested more than 51,000 perpetrators throughout Indonesia.
