Attending Indonesian Street Vendors Association National Leadership Meeting, West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief: Police are Friends of Street Vendors, Help Restore the National Economy during a Pandemic

inp.polri.go.id – West Lombok. The Association of Street Vendors (APKLI) held a National Leadership Meeting at a hotel in the tourist area of Senggigi, West Lombok. This National Leadership Meeting Indonesian Street Vendors Association's momentum to launch the economy of street vendors throughout Indonesia to be prosperous in an all-digital era. The National Meeting, which took place from 10-12 December, was attended by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Street Vendors Association's Central Executive Board, Ali Mahsun Atmo and was officially opened by the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Zulkieflimansyah, Saturday (12/11/2021). Also present was the Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Muhammad Iqbal, Military Regional Command 162/WB represented by the Regional Commander Chief of Staff, Indonesian Street Vendors Association's Regional Leadership Council Chairs and Secretaries throughout Indonesia, and Street Vendors Association's regional administrators throughout West Nusa Tenggara. In his report, the Secretary-General of the Indonesian Street Vendors Association's Central Executive Board, the Chairman of the National Leadership Meeting Committee, HL Winengan, stated that this year's National Leadership Meeting raised the theme "Safe and Peaceful Country, Street Vendors are happy." The West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government scholarship program includes sending participants to universities abroad. Meanwhile, the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief expressed his appreciation to all street vendors. To those present, the Regional Police Chief said that currently, as many as five regions in West Nusa Tenggara are in the Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Level 3 assessment. At the same time, the other five regions are in the Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Level II assessment. This indicates that the handling of Covid-19 in West Nusa Tenggara is excellent. "Today, the achievement of the first dose of vaccination in NTB has reached 73 percent. Meanwhile, the achievement of the second dose of vaccination, God willing, in a day or two, it will be above 50 percent," explained the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief. The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief emphasized that all police and the National Armed Forces ranks will be friends with street vendors. This is because the National Police have to serve and protect the community. However, he also reminded that street vendors want to be friends with the National Police. The National Police will prioritize communication by sitting at the table to resolve any problems. Will prioritize sharing of information when there are things that deserve mutual attention.
