inp.polri.go.id - The Bali United vs RANS Nusantara FC match in the third week of BRI Liga 1 2022-2023 ended with a score of 3-2. This match was held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Thursday, August 4, 2022. RANS, who was aiming for their first win in Indonesia's highest football competition, played aggressively despite playing away Bali United home, Friday, (05/08/22).
One of the chances for RANS came at the 15th minute. Jujun Junaedi had a shot on target but still didn't manage score. The home team also tried to break the RANS defense line and in the 30th minute of the match, Ilija Spasojevic got a chance to score a goal but got intercepted by Wawan Hendrawan.
This was Wawan's first match against his former club at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium. He moved to RANS ahead of the 2022-2023 season after five years at Bali United.
The match got more intense after the match lasted 30 minutes. Bali United managed to score their first goal through Ilija Spasojevic in the 35th minute.
Two minutes later, RANS scored a goal through Jujun Junaedi who quickly responded to Edo Febriansyah's kick that hit the goal post. The score was then 1-1.
At the last minute of the first half, Bali United took the lead again after Spasojevic scored his second from a penalty kick.
Wawan actually guessed Spasojevic right, however, he couldn't reach the ball. The first half ended with the score 2-1 in favor of the home team.
Bali United scored again in the 52nd minute of the match. Willian Pacheco scored with a header after successfully heading the ball from Fadil Sausu's corner.
Although already leading with two goals ahead, Spasojevic and his teams still press the opposing team. They continued to put pressure on the RANS defense.
RANS was able to score in the 64th minute of the match through Arthur Bonai's header from Ady Setiawan’s pass.
The goal was created afterthe RANS coach, Rahmad Darmawan, subtituted Septian Satria, Jujun Junaedi, and David Laly with Wander Luiz, Saddam Hi Tenang, and Sandi Darma Sute.
Wander Luiz made the RANS more aggressive on the attack. The Brazilian player who strengthened Persib Bandung and PSS Sleman last season had a number of chances, but was unable to score. The position was still 3-2 for the advantage of the home team.
This result became Bali United's second win in BRI Liga 1 this season, following the defeat at PSM Makassar in the previous match. The addition of these three points makes Stefano Cugurra's team in the fourth place of the league standings.
Meanwhile, for RANS Nusantara FC, this result halted their first advance in the BRI Liga 1 2022-2023, which makes their position still at the bottom of the board, in the 13th.
