Inp.polri.go.id - Bengkulu. Bengkulu Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Armed Wijaya visited Gading Cempaka Sector Police to give their Social and Medical Aids to the local community. The social activity is part of Bengkulu Regional program to help the people in need.   The police entourage, upon arrival, was welcomed enthusiastically by the locals. On that activity, Armed symbolically gave the aid to the ten representative locals who attended the social activity.   Other than providing medical aid, police also sent their 131 food supplies to the poor families around Gading Cempaka District.   “All police members have to give their best service to the people. The aim of our activity today is to send this social aid for the people in need. We are here to combat poverty as our poverty rate level in national level is high. We are here to collaborate with the people and government in overcoming this issue,” said Armed.   Moreover, police officials also stated that the activity is also part of election cooling system. They believe by maintaining the situation during the election process, the democratic would go smoothly, particularly ahead the regional heads election.   The activity was also attended by Bengkulu Regional Leadership Coordination Forum who came to give their support. Armed hopes that the social activity such as this would continue to be carried out in other regions to knit stronger relationship between the institutions and the people.   (ad/mz/pr/nm)
