Inp.polri.go.id - Padang. Bhayangkara Hospital in West Sumatra has sent DNA samples from a suspected mutilation victim in Padang Pariaman to the Indonesian National Police Laboratory in Jakarta for analysis.

“We’ve submitted the comparative DNA samples to the INP Lab following direct orders from the West Sumatra Regional Police Chief,” said Bhayangkara Hospital Director Senior Inspector Dr. Harry Andromeda on Monday (23/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Samples included body parts and two sets of bones recovered earlier, along with swabs from individuals believed to be the victim’s parents. Results are expected within five to seven days.

The testing aims to confirm whether the remains—found scattered in separate locations—belong to the same person.

Police have named a man, identified as SJ alias Wanda, as a suspect in the murder and dismemberment of a woman, identified as SA, whose remains were discovered in the Batang Anai River.
