Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh.  The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has taken action to destroy a four-hectare marijuana plantation spanning three different sites in Aceh Besar Regency. Brigadier General Ruddi Setiawan, theDeputy Director of Narcotics Eradication at BNN, announced the operation in Aceh Besar on Wednesday (6/3/3034), emphasizing the agency's commitment to maintaining post-election security. "This extensive operation targeted two distinct areas, covering a total area of four hectares," he said, as reported by antaranews.com. A combined force of 170 personnel from various agencies, including BNN, BNN in Aceh Province, the military and the police, Aceh Prosecutor's Office, Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Department of Agriculture, and Aceh Forestry Department, participated in the eradication effort. Three locations were targeted, including two partially harvested hemp fields located at altitudes of 129 meters and 109 meters above sea level in Lamlung Village, Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar. The total weight of wet marijuana plants destroyed from these locations was estimated to be around seven tons. The discovery of these marijuana plantations stemmed from public information regarding marijuana shipments from Aceh to Lampung. Subsequently, BNN arrested a suspect named RZ and confiscated 12 sacks of dry marijuana. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
