Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) raided Kampung Ambon, a notorious area in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Thursday (6/11/2025), targeting what authorities described as a long-standing hotspot for drug trafficking.
“We are deeply concerned about several areas identified as drug enclaves. Today’s operation is a firm response to that threat,” said Brigadier General Roy Hadi Siahaan, BNN’s Director of Enforcement and Pursuit, as reported by antaranews.com.
The joint operation with the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agencyi and the Jakarta Metro Jaya regional Police resulted in dozens of arrests, with suspects now undergoing interrogation to determine their involvement in drug networks. Seized evidence includes methamphetamine, marijuana, bank books, and transaction records.
Although major dealers escaped capture, Chief Roy confirmed that pursuit efforts continue. Officers also found a suspected shotgun at the scene, which remains under investigation.
He said that the operation is part of its nationwide crackdown on narcotics.
