“Teams from BNPB, the military, the police, Basarnas, and regional administration are working continuously to restore access and accelerate search operations,” said BNPB spokesperson Abdul Muhari, as quoted by antaranews.com
In North Sumatra, more than 33,000 residents are displaced across Tapanuli and Sibolga, while air and land operations continue to reopen routes such as Tarutung–Padangsidimpuan and Tarutung–Sibolga. Aceh has recorded 479,300 displaced residents, with major highways still cut off and emergency Starlink communication deployed in multiple districts. West Sumatra reported 122,683 evacuees, with isolated areas in Solok, Agam, and West Pasaman reached by coordinated air and sea deliveries.
BNPB confirmed that logistics, medical supplies, generators, and emergency shelters are being distributed as weather modification flights continue to reduce rainfall over disaster zones.
